The City of Dublin Forestry Department has a goal to prune all street trees in the City at least once every 5 years. For the 2026 season, the Zelkova trees on Sumner Loop will be pruned.

The exact date for the pruning is to be determined. The best time to prune is the dormant season from late fall to early spring, but the City will prune trees anytime throughout the year to meet annual pruning objectives. Street trees along Stockton way were pruned in 2025.
