The days of quick and easy post office access has come to an end as the United States Postal Service (USPS) has closed the post office in Amlin at 6931 Rings Road, 1 mile west of Cramer’s Crossing. Amlin has had a post office for more than 70 years.

In July 2025, the Postal Service mailed a notice to area residents asking for public comment concerning relocation of the office and that a search was underway for a suitable property for a new office. This was after the owner of the Rings Road property, Bladro Holdings, LLC, decided to not renew the USPS’s lease after it expired in November 2024. The post office continued to operate on “hold-over status” until April 2026 when the office was vacated. Bladro Holdings plans for property are not known at this time but with future development poised to begin in the area, strategic land-holding is suspected and not unusual.

It was eventually decided not to relocate the Amlin post office and operations were consolidated into the Dublin Station office on Emerald Parkway. Amlin customers now have post office boxes at the Emerald Parkway location and the counter rep also was moved to the Dublin post office.
